This is Erich posting. Jamie died this monday, recovering from surgery. I’m afraid that I’m not a regular user of wordpress, and I’ll be slow approving posts. Thanks for all your past support

Erich, I am so sorry to read this news. Stunned! I knew he had gone through the surgery but I didn’t ever assume he wouldn’t make it.

My condolences and prayers of strength for you as you begin this huge adjustment in your life. I will be forever grateful to Jamie for the books he wrote and the truths he told through his stories.

His stories will live on forever.

Hugs from a reader who is concerned for you,

    Connie Parrott

Dear Erich – I can’t imagine how you are feeling right now and I hope you’re getting the support you need. I really enjoyed Jamie’s writing, as well as his ‘dog’ tales. Do take care of yourself.

Erich, thank you for sharing. Jamie has written characters that have deeply moved me, made an important difference in how understand myself and feel about myself—made the world a kinder, more compassionate place for me. And I thank you too, for I’m sure your support and love circled through it all.

This is my first time visiting this blog. I found it by accident and thought “hey I really like this”. Then it was with sadness that I read the latest posting. I am so sorry. Just from reading Jamie’s posts about his love for the pets, I gather that he was a wonderful person who cared a lot about others. My condolences to Erich. Sincerely, Christopher

I’m so sorry to hear this news. I found this blog by happenstance a while ago while looking for writing advice and it really touched me. He seemed like such an earnest and genuine person. I decided to check back in on the blog and the recent post saddened and shocked me. Erich, I hope you are taking it easy and being kind to yourself during this loss. Sending lots of love 💕

Dear Erich, I am so very sorry for your loss!
This is likely of little consolation to you – but although nothing can bring Jamie back and nothing can heal your pain, his book ‘Violated’ healed me. I have listened to it over and over again on audible following my assault of the same nature that Jamie wrote of for Derek. It is graphic but, it gave me light when I felt so lost and so alone in the world. Jamie unlocked my cage and I will forever be grateful.
Please be kind to yourself Erich x

  11. I knew Jamie. We have been a great friends for years. I want you all to know that I could feel and hear the real Jamie in every book that he wrote. So. you all did get to meet and know Jamie, too . He was a wonderfully smart, hilariously funny and a loving, warm and generous friend. I miss him deeply. I read his words occasionally to be close again.
